June 1^st: 1533, Anne Boleyn was crowned as Queen of England.

 

June 2^nd: 1941, Lou Gehrig, who was 1st baseman for New York Yankees, died of ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) in Riverdale NY at the age of 37.

 

June 3^rd: 1911, the song "Come Josephine in My Flying Machine" hits no.1. Many may remember it being used in the film Titanic.

 

June 4^th: 1913, Suffragette Emily Davison stepped in front of King George V's horse, Anmer at the Epsom Derby. Her intention was to grab the horse’s bridle, she was trampled by the horse.

June 5^th: 1901, Birth of Anastasia Nikolaevna. Born in Saint Petersburg. She was the daughter of last Russian Tsar Nicholas II.

June 6^th: 1850, Fashion Designer Levi Strauss made his 1st pair of blue jeans.

 

 

June 7^th: 1329, Robert Bruce, King of Scots from 1306 to 1329, died at the age of 53.
