Geisel. He was a children's author best known for Horton Hears a Who! And The
Grinch who Stole Christmas. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts.
March 3rd: 1931, Singer Cab Calloway records

March 4th: 1797, John Adams
is inaugurated as 2nd president of the USA.
March 5th: 1953, Joseph
Stalin who was Premier of the Soviet Union, ruling from 1941 to 1953, dies at
the age of 73.
March 6th: 1475, Birth of Michelangelo, an Italian
painter. He is best known for Painting
the Sistine Chapel.

March 7th: 1941, British
troops invade Abyssinia, which is now Ethiopia. This was during WW2 as
Mussolini and his Italian army where occupying the country.
March 8th: 1702 Queen Anne
of England ascends to the throne upon death of King William III, her
Brother-in-law. She was the last of the Stuarts Household.
