July 6th: 1893, Prince George, Duke of York (later George V) married Princess Victoria of Teck (Queen Mary) at St James's Palace.
 
July 7th: 1753, British Museum was founded by an Act of Parliament (later opened in 1759)
 
July 8th: 1839, Birth of John D. Rockefeller, in Richford, New York. He was a US capitalist & founder of Standard Oil.
 
July 9th: 1553, Lady Jane Grey, was proclaimed queen of England in succession to Edward VI, following his death, three days earlier he proclaimed both his half-sisters illegitimate. She reigned for nine days before being deposed by Mary Tudor, who had Jane executed the following February.
 
July 10th: 138, Hadrian, Roman emperor ruling from 117 to138 died at 62.
 
July 11th: 1899, Birth of E. B. White, a writer best known for Charlotte's Web.
 
July 12th: 1191, English King Richard the Lionheart & Crusaders defeated the Saracens in Palestine.
