Masham Steam Rally!

Hi all! I am taking you back to my day out in North Yorkshire! Me, My parents, my Auntie and Uncle took a day trip to Masham, where they held a massive stream rally!

 

Since I was a little girl I have always loved motors, traction engines and bikes! This steam rally had it all so, me my Dad and Uncle were in our element! I have always been a bit of a tomboy, so this day out was perfect!

 

(This will be mostly photo based and I will try to explain where I can!)

I have chosen my favourite pictures as I had about 80+ to choose from haha!
 

 



Fairground Organ.

Next up is an old fire engine, below that image of the engine is a photo with information about it!

This next photo I took because I thought it was quirky. The Michelin man was situated on the top of a vintage wagon.

After having made our way around some of the older and vintage Wagons and Fire Engines, we then proceeded to watch the Traction Engines in the main arena!

I chose to photograph this one because it was from Hexham, which is in Northumberland, which is where the county I live in!

I also chose to take a photo of this engine, because of its name, which I have also taken a zoomed in image. Its name is the same as my Auntie Eileen who I was there with!!

Now this next engine was huge, the back wheel on it had to be roughly 7ft, to show you just the size of it got my Mum to take a photo of me standing next to the back wheel!

Another Fairground Organ.

After having had a look at the Traction Engines, my Mum spotted an old carousel, which then spurred us to go have a shot on it haha! Children at heart really! 

The next photo I took is a bit odd, as it is an ice cream van! Just very strange looking haha!

After having got our ice creams, we watched vintage tractors coming into the Arena!

Once, the main display of tractors was over, we went onto the next field for a wonder around the vintage cars and bikes!

Anyway, haha, while looking around the bikes, I found something that caught my interest straight away!

A Weslake Speedway Bike!! It had to be one of the best finds of my day! Never have I seen an older speedway bike, so I was in my element! 

After getting over seeing the speedway bike, I had a wonder around the other vintage bikes that were on display.

I had a look in the Mecano tent and found a remote control Caterpillar!!!

Last but not least from the rally, was an old milking machine, for milking the cows, which had me fascinated!

On our way home from a fabulous day, we stopped in Richmond for a late Picnic! And we had to get a selfie haha!

 Kirsty's biggest fears are rejection and spiders

  If on a desert island, she wouldn't be able to live without gin, her three cats and make up

 

 

 

6.  What three movies does your best friend love the most?

 She loves sleeping beauty, pitch perfect and...I can't actually remember a third off the top of my head.

 

 

7.  Which is your best friend’s favourite season and why?

 Kirsty loves summer. Perfect beer garden weather!

 

 

8. If you were out together, what would your best friend eat?

 When out, Kirsty usually orders steak to eat

9. Would your best friend watch a chick-flick, action, comedy or a horror movie?

 I think she would prefer a chicken flick or comedy. Definitely not horror!!

 

 

10.  What is your favourite inside joke?

 Our favourite inside joke usually revolves around making fun of horrible customers...or my accent lol

 

11.  Does your best friend have any nicknames?

 She calls me kitty, cat, kitcat...the list is endless haha. I call her Krispy or Krusty

 

 

12.  Can you describe your best friend in one word?

 To describe her in one word, I would say unique

We meet at University in November 2009. We became best of friends more so in the January 2010 once we got to know each other better!

Tom Hiddleston, especially as Loki!

Subway Sandwiches!

Heights!

 

5.      If your best friend were deserted on an island, what are the three things she/he could not live without?

 Probably her phone, Bonnie (Her cat!) and a Lush product!

The Lion King, Thor and the Avengers?

 

7.      Which is your best friend’s favorite season and why?

Winter, as there is snow and it’s a cooler climate.

 

 

8.      If you were out together, what would your best friend eat?

Pizza haha!

 

 

9.      Would your best friend watch a chick-flick, action, comedy or a horror movie?

Comedy.

Bowl of MEEATTBAWWLSS! We were in subway and this German guy asked the guy at the counter what a bowl of meatballs was, but it was the way he said it!

 Probably our random nights out, they all smoosh into one!

BFF Tag: Tanya!

Hi again, this week the questions have been answered about Tanya, I find that there is nothing more important other than your family, is your closest friends!

1.  When and how did we first meet?

  I first met Tanya in September 2007 when I started at the local sixth form. We became friends

quickly and haven't had any major fallouts. She's one of my best friends.

 

 

2.  Who is your best friend's hero?

 This one was tough. At first I spent ages trying to think who her favourite superhero was but then

I thought about the question a different way. I'd have to say Tanya's biggest hero would be her

mum. Her mum goes through a lot every day and Tanya does as much as she can to help her.

 

 

3.What is our favourite food?

 Favourite food is nachos or pizza

 

 

4.  What is your best friend’s biggest fear?

  I really want to say spiders!

 

 

5. If your best friend were deserted on an island, what are the three things she/he could not live without?

 Her camera to take photos. Her iPhone for music/games/sanity aaaannnd something random like a

bouncy castle lol. Oooo no her cat!!

 

 

6.What three movies does your best friend love the most?

 The Harry Potter films (I think number 5 is her favourite) interview with a vampire aaannnnddd

7.  Which is your best friend’s favourite season and why?

 Probably summer because it's sunny and warm.

 We usually go the leaping salmon and she usually has a hot dog with cheese and chips

 I think Tanya would pick a horror film.

1. When and how did we first meet?

We met in 2007 while attending Sixth Form at Berwick High School. I basically ran up to and introduced myself and she hasn’t managed to get rid of me since!

2. Who is your best friend's hero?

David Tennant! Her Favourite Doctor Who!  

          

3. What is our favourite food?

Pizza, without a shadow of a doubt haha!

 

4. What is your best friend’s biggest fear?

Fire! Without a doubt.

 

5. If your best friend were deserted on an island, what are the three things she/he could not live without?

A book, her Phone and a bottle of wine :P

All the Hunger Games, Les Miserables and Chicago?

 Winter, she doesn’t like the heat!

Curry! The Lass likes her curry, especially on curry night at Wetherspoons!

All of the above probably! Though she is more into Musicals :)

 Orange Sun loungers! She was talking about them in her sleep while we were on holiday in Mallorca!
