May 5^th: 1818, Birth of Karl Marx. He was born in Trier, Prussia. He was a philosopher, Known for the Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital.

 

May 6^th: 1960, English Princess Margaret married Antony Armstrong-Jones (Known as Lord Snowdon) at Westminster Abbey.

May 8^th: 1933, Mohandas Gandhi began a 21-day fast in protest against British oppression in India.

May 10^th: 1291, the Scottish nobles recognized the authority of English king Edward I.
