April
27th: 1791, Birth of Samuel Morse. Born in
Charlestown, Massachusetts. He was an American inventor, famous for the
telegraph and Morse code. He was also a painter.
April
28th: 1945, Benito
Mussolini, Fascist dictator of Italy, was shot by communist partisans at the
age of 61. The shootings took place
in the small village of Giulino di Mezzegra. The following day his body was
hung on display by a meat hook in Piazzale Loreto, Milan. Civilians stoned his
dead body along with stoning other Fascists that were hung up next to him.

29th: 1945, Adolf
Hitler aged 56 married Eva Braun aged 33 in the Führerbunker, Berlin.
April
30th: 1945,
Adolf Hitler, commits suicide at 56, along with his new bride Eva Braun. Braun
bit into a cyanide capsule and Hitler shot himself.
May
1st: 1852, Birth of Calamity Jane [Birth name: Martha
Jane Canary]. Born in Princeton Missouri. She was an American frontierswoman.

2nd: 1536, Anne
Boleyn was arrested and taken to the Tower of London. She was arrested on the accusations of Adultery,
incest and High Treason.
May
3rd: 1915, Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD wrote
the poem "In Flanders Fields."
