February 16th: 1923, Howard Carter opens the inner burial chamber of the Pharaoh Tutankhamen's tomb and finds the sarcophagus.

February 17th: 1950, Natural history broadcaster David Attenborough, aged 24 marries Jane Elizabeth Ebsworth Oriel. Unfortunately, she passed away in 1997.
 
February 18th: 1885, Author Mark Twain publishes the book "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn".
 
February 19th: 1473, Birth of Nicolaus Copernicus. Born in Toruń, Royal Prussia. He was a Polish mathematician and astronomer.

February 20th: 1472, The Islands of Orkney and Shetland were left by Norway to Scotland, due to a dowry payment.
 
February 21st: 1946, Birth of actor Alan Rickman, He was born in Hammersmith, London, England. Some of his most famous roles would be Snape in Harry Potter Series and for the USA his main role in “Die Hard.”

February 22nd: 1371, King David II Bruce, King of Scots. Having ruled from 1331, dies aged 46.
