Bucket List!

Bucket List!

Here we are again, the weeks are passing so quickly!

36.) See the Pyramids of Giza. As you'll have previously seen, I want to see the Sphinx, so why not do the full tour of Egyptian history and see the pyramids too!

37.)Visit New Zealand. Again from a previous post I said I want to visit Hobbiton, therefore a tour of NZ has to happen too!

38.) Visit Shakespeare's Birth Place. This one I have completed. as mentioned in my previous post, I Visited Stratford back in May 2010. And it was my choice of destination, so off we went!

House where Shakespeare was born!

39.) Go Rock Climbing. I have already done this in my childhood, but never as an adult! So I want to go an test my strength and my head for heights!

40.) Have my own House. I think many people will have the dream to have their own house. For me I would love to own my own hoe. If I have to rent for most of my life, then so be it! (Also I do love my parents, but one day I will have to move out for the sake of their sanity haha!)

That's it for this week!

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

My next five are here!

31.) Swim with Dolphins. Dolphins are my second favourite mammal and since I was a child I have always wanted to go  swimming with them. But I'd prefer to go swimming with them in their own habitat!

32.) See Mike and the Mechanics. This is another on of my top 20 favourite bands that I would love to see! I have the privilege of going in April 2015 to see them in concert with my parents! (Look of for post about it in April!)

33.) Visit Aztec Lands. It's probably not the best way to word it, I think Empire would be the best way! The history of Aztecs is great and to see the Aztec Pyramid in Mexico would be great!

34.) Visit Anne Hathaway's Cottage. Due to my love of Shakespeare, I always wanted to see the home of his wife! This I have managed to complete back in 2010 on a visit to Stratford-Upon-Avon!

Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Stratford.

35.) Visit El DJem Amphitheatre.  This is like the Colosseum, but is in fact in better condition that the one in Rome. El Djem is located in Tunisia and for the reasoning that it is in better condition and easily accessible, I want to visit here!

See you in a week for my next 5!

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

Here's  my next five, I'm now about 1/3  through them already!

26.) Visit London Madame Tussauds. For those of you who have been following my London Adventure will know I have managed to complete this! It was something I have always wanted to do, simply to compare waxwork to real life.

Whoopi Goldberg and Me!

27.) See the Spanish Steps. I have always wanted to go to Rome and the steps for me are one of the best features! I have always wanted to go since I was a child!

28.) Visit Petra. Because of my interest in history, a visit to Petra again is a must for me. the history behind this city really appeals to me!

29.) See a West End Musical. I would love to say I have seen a Musical in London's West End and the Musical I would love to see is CATS. This musical has been a favourite of mine for most of my life! So too see it live would be fabulous!

30.) Go to the Top of the Eiffel Tower. I have already been to the first floor of the tower and I was absolutely petrified, as I don't deal very well with heights! So one day I'd like to think I'd be brave enough to get to the top floor!

See you in a week for my next 5!

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

Week 5 of my Bucket List is finally here!

21.) To see the Pet Shop Boys! This one I managed to complete back in September 2014. All my life I have had a love of 80's music and they are one of my favourite bands; so to actually see them live was absolutely fantastic!

Pet Shop Boys live at The Sage, Gateshead!

22.) Visit the Amazon Rainforest.  I'm not actually sure why I put this on my list, I suppose it's because I'd quite like to visit South America and see all the tropical animals that live in the forest.

23.) Complete the Great North Run. I have completed a few Race for Life's, so I'd like to be able to do this and actually be physically fit to run it!

24.) Go Skiing, again! I have been skiing as a child and I absolutely loved it, but as an adult I have never had the chance to do it again. Therefore it's on my list!

25.) See the Sphinx.  As you've probably gathered by now, I love history, especially Egyptian history, so to finally be able to go and see something so remarkable would be a dream come true!

See you in a week for my next 5!

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

Hi again everyone! Can't believe I'm up to week 4 of my Bucket List!

So here we go again!

16.) Visit Kensington Palace! For those who have been following my London Adventure will know I have completed this one! I put this one on my list because as much as I'd love to see Buckingham Palace, I'd rather see this palace. Which I did! I had dreamed of seeing Kensington since I was child due to one of my favourite monarchs having resided here, Queen Victoria!

17.) Go to the Base Camp of Mount Everest! I would love to see Everest and I feel that base camp is the furthest I would get! I don't think I could see myself making it to the top of the mountain, so base camp will do me fine! Least I'll still be able to look up at Everest!

18.) Do a Charity Sky Dive! As I said in an earlier bucket list post, I am terrified of heights, so my incentive to do a sky dive would be to do it for charity! (When the time comes, I will probably do it in aid of The British Heart Foundation!)

19.) Become a Teaching Assistant! I posted in the About me post and on my Me Page that I'm training to be a Teaching Assistant. To actually complete my course and qualify would be amazing, but it would be even better if I could get a job as this would be marvellous!

20.) Completely read Lord of the Rings! I've fully read the Hobbit and read parts of the trilogy, but I have never fully read them! So this one is a must!

See you in a week for my next 5!

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

Hi again folks! Week 3 of my bucket list already!

Time to crack on with the next 5!

11.) Go to the London Dungeons! If you've been following my blog recently you'll see that I have completed this one! For people that don't know me, I am Dungeons MAD! I have nearly been to all the UK Dungeons, until they added Warwick Castle! Anyway I have been to 4 of the UK dungeons, some more than once! (Post about all my visits will be coming up in Throwback Thursday!)

12.) Visit the Vatican City! I am in no way a religious person, but I do have a slight fascination with religion, probably the more historic side of it! I also studied RE at GCSE and A-Level, so to actually visit where the Pope resides would be good. (Plus, its links to Dan Brown's Angels and Demons haha!)

13.) Visit Mary Arden's Farm! After all I am a literature fan and an English Graduate! Mary Arden's farm is the farm that belonged to Shakespeare's Mother and her family! When I visited Stratford-upon-Avon this was one place we never had to time to visit :( So this is a MUST!

14.) See the Grave of Oscar Wilde! My blog is so named after one of his quotes and my tagline is also another of his quotes! He is also one of my favourite literary icons, so again this is something I must do!

15.) Visit Hobbiton! I am a big fan of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, so I would love to travel across the globe to see the creation left by Peter Jackson!

That's it this week!

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

Hello there! This in my next five from my Bucket List!

Well, I might as well get straight to it!

6.) Visit Cyprus! My main reason for wanting to visit is not for a holiday or for my love of travelling, but for a family reason! My Grandfather from my Dad's side of the family has a brother buried on the island, my Grandfather never got to visit the grave when he was alive. So this is on my list to honour my Grandfather.

7.) Have my own car! To many this may seem strange, but I have been able to drive for nearly 6 year in June. In all that time, I have never had my own car and since I love to travel, it would be an ideal thing to have!

8.) See the grave of William Shakespeare! This one I have completed! I actually completed this one before I put it on my list! I visited Stratford -upon-Avon back in 2010 with my Parents. On this visit we visited the church where Shakespeare and his family are buried!

Graves of the Shakespeare family (Picture is not mine!)

9.) To Visit New York City! This one was put on my list because many of my favourite TV shows such as Friends, were filmed in the city! Other than seeing the Knicks and Yankees play, there is not much else I'd visit. Except for the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Centre!

10.) Travel to Oz! (Australia, not to see the Wizard I'm afraid!) One of my previous listings is based in Australia, therefore I'd have to visit to do it haha! Anyway, my other reason is again family related! My Older Cousin Lizzie and her Husband moved to Australia over a year ago with their children! So a visit to them is a necessity!

That's it for another week!

Again if you have any bucket list ideas you'd like to share, comment below :)

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

Hi again everyone! Welcome to my newest series: My bucket list!

Over time I'm going to be posting about my Bucket List that I made and started last year (2014) So far I have 90 things I'd love to do on my list!
The plus side is so far I have achieved 15 out of the 90!

Anyway....each week I'll be posting five off my list and explaining why I have chosen to put them on my list!

 Here goes!

1.) To Climb Arthur's seat in Edinburgh! This one I have completed, I achieved this in July when I competed the race for life with my Mum and my Auntie. I wanted to climb this because of the beautiful views when you reach the top, but also because I wanted to challenge myself.

View of Edinburgh, from Arthur's Seat!

2.) Visit Holyrood Palace! Again this is in Edinburgh, I want to visit the palace so I can finally complete my whole walk of the Royal Mile. I have visited Edinburgh Castle, situated at the top of the Royal Mile, therefore it makes sense to visit the palace at the bottom!

3.) Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Again this is something I have chosen to do; to challenge myself physically! As I am terrified of heights, I will need an incentive to complete this! So....I have chosen; when the time comes; to do this climb for charity. By doing this, I will be raising money for a good cause and it will make me push myself more to actually complete it! (When the time comes, the charity will be one I have helped for many years, it will be half for Cancer Research UK and half for Berwick Cancer Care!)

4.)To help elephants in Africa. Elephants are one of my favourite animals and I would like to do something physical to help them, rather than just sending money to help them. I would actually like to give something back to the world!

5.) Visit Switzerland. As most people will know, this was a neutral country during the second world war, therefore I want to visit it. I know they have some of the best cheese and chocolate in the world, but I want to visit for its peace!

That's all for this week!
If you have a bucket list, feel free to comment some of yours below :)
