Throwback Thursday!
This week, I'm taking you back to April 2011 and we are off to Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
On this occasion, I was accompanied by my Best Friend Sarah! At the time, Sarah was at university in York and I was still at university in Lancaster. We used to joke that we couldn't be friends because of this. (I know lame War of the Roses joke ha!)
Anyway, Sarah came to stay with me during the holidays in Lancaster. I was trying to think of where to take her, where we could have fun and just go wild.
So what else other than Blackpool + Rollercoasters = Happy Girls!!

Pleasure Beach Station! |

Resort!
Upon entering the pleasure beach we were greeted by two people dressed as what I assume were chipmunks or squirrels. (However, I'm terrified of people inside those types of suits so I ran straight for the park!)
First ride I took Sarah on was the Grand National, it has to be one of my favourite rollercoasters in the whole park! |
|
Me and Turty my Turtle. (I won him!) |
|
Sarah in the middle!
I was going to go on the Tetley teacups but we thought against it and decided to go on the Avalanche instead! |
|
Sarah with Gaffer!
After going on the Avalanche we decided it was time for some lunch! So we went to none other than Burger King haha!
After that, we decided something not too sickly was an order.
We went for Valhalla! The water ride in the park, its safe to say not s single part of me was dry! |

Sarah after Valhalla! |
|
Waiting to go on Ice Blast!
To dry off from Valhalla, best way to do so was to go on The Tango Ice Blast! Sarah was terrified! Me, I was hyper to go on! |
|
Planes!
We also went on the Big Dipper, Alice in Wonderland ride and the ghost ride!
We had the whole day to build up the courage to go on the BIG ONE, THE PEPSI MAX!!!!
While waiting in the queue to go on the ride, Sarah spent the whole time telling me she wanted to leave haha! But Alas! I Won! On we went! |

Entrance to the Big One! |
|
Me with my T-shirt & Bottle of Pepsi-max after being on it!
Since we had the courage to do the BIG ONE and survived, the next challenge was the Irn-Bru Revolution!
This ride was absolutely awesome and I would have went on over and over! |
|
Platform to the Revolution.
It was a fabulous day out and the weather was fabulous, sun shined all day!
Now for the ride photos!!!! |
|
Tango Ice Blast! |
|
The Avalanche! |
|
Pepsi-Max Big One!! |
|
The Big Dipper!
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is so worth the money! It was £10 on the train each.(Return from Lancaster!) and it was £12 each entry for the wristbands meaning we could go on all the riders over and over!
But its not just about the rides, we also got our caricatures done as well! |
|
Sarah! |

Me!
See you next week!
